Hi and welcome to Return2WorkMums just for women like you thinking about or actively trying to return to work after a career or maternity break. Are you excited or confused about your work options?
If you are in need of some friendly, professional guidance to set you up for returning to work then take a look at our Getting Started section and start enjoying some of the benefits of our new careers resource specifically for women returning to work or starting their own flexible business.

We know, from our own personal experiences, what it feels like to return to work after a period of being full time Mums and what a rollercoaster ride it can be. In fact, it is our own first-hand experience of returning to work that spurred us on to develop this web based careers and coaching resource specifically for women returning to work.

We have taken much inspiration from talking to many Mums, like you, planning your return to work. When we looked into the available support and advice specifically for women returners and Mums wanting to re-establish themselves in the workplace, we concluded that there was a real need for a friendly, professional and informative web based return to work careers and networking website just for women. We also wanted it to be easy and fun to use.

Achieving your return to work should be exciting. Let's not underestimate some of the planning, application and nerves that have to be overcome but remember you are marketing your best asset - YOU - and you should be bold, proud and enjoy it!

Interestingly the current tough economic climate was another major driver for launching Return2WorkMums in late Autumn 2009. There has been much media reporting that women are suffering more than their male peers in the current climate of redundancies. We felt now more than ever women needed, and in fact deserved, some specific and focused guidance to support them with their return to work plans and careers.

Return2WorkMums is here to stimulate your thinking and planning, energise your job hunting and ultimately support you in your quest to "Let's Get That Job!". So check out our Return to work Coaching tips to help make you the best candidate for the job or swap ideas online in our forum with fellow like-minded women planning their return to work. Our free return2workmums membership gives you full access to all our self coaching notes as well as our online forum. So go on grab a coffee and take a look.

We want to make a positive contribution to your job hunting and return to work experience so be sure to give us plenty of feedback so that we can improve and help more...

Majella and the Return2WorkMums team

Some words that inspired and motivated us as we started out on our Return2WorkMums new venture ........

"Seize the day. Don't wait for the perfect moment. There is never an ideal time.
Start small. Whatever your project, take it slowly; never try to do too much too quickly.
Be your own leader. Believe in yourself and make your own decisions without being influenced by others' expectations or wishes.
Learn from others. Be humble enough to listen to others' opinions, and don't judge until you know what you're talking about.
Stop thinking like a victim. Fill your mind with positive ideas. Self pity holds you back."

Taken from Fiveways to change your life by John Bird.
