Simply put we are women like you! Return2WorkMums is brought to you by Majella Wilkins supported by her extensive and diverse range of business contacts - fellow business professionals who specialise in supporting women in their work and professional lives.
What brings them all together is their common focus and passion for supporting women either re-entering the workplace after a career break or women currently juggling the demands of work and family life.
Prior to Return2WorkMums, Majella spent over 12 succssful years working for UK and international IT companies in Sales and then Marketing Management. She also has considerable experience managing teams of people including virtual teams, made up of individuals from a range of companies, to deliver common business goals.
Having a family forced her to re-evaluate what she wanted from her professional life and encourgaged her to change from her full time, corporate role to one that was more flexible. Majella manoeuvred her way back into the workplace 5 years ago managing what is now more commonly called a "portfolio career" working part time for charities whilst also managing other freelance business projects. She was, however, disappointed by just how little affordable and accessible support there was specifically for women wanting to return to work on a flexible basis.
It was her first hand experience of juggling many hats and meeting with many women doing the same that inspired her to create Return2WorkMums to support and inspire women about their work options. Whilst life & career coaching services already existed, she believed there was a need to tailor a careers and employment resource specifically for women returners helping them investigate a range of flexible and freelance work options as well as the traditional corporate ones.
"My passion and drive is to be able to support women, whatever their career aspirations, with a structured, affordable and easily accessible programme to help them achieve a successful return to work.
Over recent years there has been a gradual but marked change in the UK employment market and employers are finally waking up to the real value of part time and flexible working. They realise there is a huge skill base of Mums and are now starting to offer employment opportunities that could fit around the school run and work. This is not only great for the employee but also makes considerable business sense for the employer.
