Workshop 4: Selling yourself at Interviews

From being anxious about selling yourself in an interview to being excited and informed about how best to sell yourself with an appetite to get out there!

Key measures of success include

  • To be able to promote yourself confidently in an interview
  • To know how to prepare
  • To have experienced an interview and to have received constructive feedback
  • To equip you with the skills to conduct yourself confidently at interview such as listening skills and handling challenging questions.

Have you had several interviews but not got further? Are you completely nervous about the interview stage and therefore holdback from applying? Do you feel a little rusty and want some practice?

If so, then come and join us on this Workshop led by experienced interviewers. We will explore .....

What do you need to prepare for an interview~

  • What types of interviews are there and who will be conducting them
  • What is the interviewer looking for
  • How to prepare for your responses to questions
  • What body language do we use
  • What is a successful interview

The workshop will be very practical. There will be lots of opportunity to practise the skills you learn and to receive professional feedback. To get the most out of this programme we do recommend that you have a good CV in place. If not then we recommend you attend workshop III ‘selling yourself (networking &CV)' first. The reason for this is once your CV is prepared you will have already made significant progress in understanding how best to sell yourself through the written word.
